Whatever requirement you may have when you need to choose a cable-actuated encoder, Lika Electronic is able to provide a very wide choice of solutions to suit your any specific need. The range of models and possible configurations is nearly unlimited. They cover almost any distance measurement ranging from 300 mm up to 50 m and are offered with both external and integrated sensors in combination with potentiometers, incremental encoders and absolute encoders in singleturn and multiturn version. Furthermore, all incremental and absolute output circuits and interfaces are available. You can choose among NPN, PNP, Push-Pull, Line Driver, Universal and analogue incremental circuits; while absolute encoders can be supplied with parallel and serial (SSI, BiSS) output circuits or a great variety of industrial fieldbus interfaces: CANopen, Profibus, DeviceNet, EtherCAT (and even Modbus by the end of the year). And on the top of all this, draw wire units can be further equipped with programmable and ATEX version encoders.
Today new SF- model comes to further extend Lika's portfolio and to complete the industrial series of draw wire units. SF- is the compact and cost effective cable pulling mechanism which combines with any 58-mm flange housing and 15-mm hollow shaft encoder. This results in a great choice of models which can be coupled to: incremental, absolute, analogue and fieldbus encoders. Noteworthy benefits further include the broadest range of circuits and bus interfaces, from Push-Pull and Line Driver to 1Vpp, from SSI and BiSS to Profibus and EtherCAT. And today SF- mechanism and the new HM58 P programmable absolute encoder, both being launched this month, are undoubtedly the perfect match to best fit your any application. SF- features a simple yet rugged construction and a space-saving design encompassing the reliable draw wire mechanism. The mounting assembly grants great quickness and ease of installation. Furthermore the working principle enables to reach also inaccessible points, even in critical environments. The highly flexible stainless steel wire allows for measuring lengths up to 6800 mm and can operate at a maximum speed of 2500 mm/sec. The stroke per turn is 200 mm for SF-I model (incremental version) and 204,8 mm for SF-A model (absolute version). The resolution depends on the encoder model and can reach micron levels. SF- cable-actuated encoders are suitable for installation in a variety of industrial applications for typical linear position and speed measurements and guarantee long service life and virtually maintenance free operation. Precise linear guidance is not required and the wire flexibility allows for almost linear and even curved position measurements. Thus they find use for short-medium travel distances in telescopic systems and hydraulic pistons (for instance in mobile equipment such as outriggers, stabilizing slides, telescopic cranes, booms ...), forklifts, man-lifts, scissor lifts and loading platforms, printing and measuring machines, store and convey systems, medical technology applications such as examination tables, X-ray machines, dentist's chairs and laboratory testing devices, and many others.
